Dear visitor. I welcome you to my website. I have constructed this site in order to display my "big project": The battleship USS Wisconsin. It took me more than two years to build her. This is one of the reasons that I want to show the result to the whole world.

I have made some minor ship models before, but this project was by far the greatest challenge for me. Every little detail on the model has been made by hand and humble tools. I had almost no experience in building ship models of this proportion so I learned a lot during the process. Every little item that I made represented a major challenge to me. How do I form this or that? Which tools and material do I use? and so on. I found great help on the internet. First of all on the great official website of the USS Wisconsin: http://www.usswisconsin.org. There I found hundreds of pictures and descriptions, which gave me a splendid insight in lot of the details. Off course I had the blue prints - but they do not always revile the secrets of the exact shape and form of all the small bits and pieces.
